Who We Are
Lori MacKay, Founder & CEO

With over 30 years of experience and a masters in accounting I have spent the last 15 years helping small to medium businesses with their bookkeeping and tax services, all at a fair cost.
Balanced Books was born out of a need to help friends and family understand their tax returns. I have expanded to include new friends and businesses that don't necessarily have the resources to hire full time accountants, but still need effective reporting to operate successfully.

Our usual approach at Balanced Books is to provide quarterly reports for the self-employed and small/medium sized businesses we serve, helping them make sound decisions based on current numbers, and at the same time setting the stage for tax service at a much lower cost to the client.
